Blue Heron opened in May 2005 and features 27 holes of distinctive topography including elevation change, ravines, natural lakes and streams, and routing through native Ohio forest. Located in Blue Heron Estates, one of the areas most prestigious communities, lies a world-class public golf course with a layout that proves as visually stunning as it is challenging.

Five sets of tees ensure playability for each skill level, while finely manicured bent grass greens, tees, and fairways assure championship conditions for all. In addition, optimum playability for a quality Cleveland, Akron area golf course is provided through golf cars equipped with GPS, thus enhancing the access of course conditions, yardages, and on-course service. Our fully stocked Pro Shop features all of the top brands, including: Titleist, PING, Callaway, Taylor Made, Nike, Under Armour, J. Lindeberg, & much more.

The 27-holes of marvelous golf are just the beginning. Distinctive amenities include the unrivaled 29,000 square-foot facility, which showcases The River Styx Grille, a full service restaurant featuring a dining room, outdoor patio with golf course views, bar with cathedral ceilings, and a wall full of flat-screen televisions. And this is to say nothing of the handsome locker rooms, complete with shoe service, mens and ladies' lounges, and shower facilities!

In addition to The River Styx Grille, the facility includes the Blue Heron Banquet and Conference Center, which offers a full-service event facility for up to 400. It provides an elegant yet comfortable atmosphere to host weddings, receptions, corporate groups, fundraisers, private parties, and charitable outings.
