Buckeye Golf Trail
In a state that has contributed enormously to the game of golf (Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf, John Cook, etc.) and that hosts PGA Tour events annually, it might seem a fool's errand to create a 10-course golf trail from the nearly 600 courses that help to make Ohio one of the great golf states in the nation. And yet someone was foolish enough to create the Buckeye Golf Trail-and I'd like to shake that fool's hand.
Whether golfers choose to play Deer Ridge, a picturesque Brian Huntley design that lies between Columbus and Cleveland, or the wildly popular Eagle's Landing, which features 8 lakes and 70 bunkers, or Red Hawk Run, which Golf Digest has granted four and a half stars on numerous occasions or River Greens, which features 27 holes and is one of the state's most popular golf destinations, they cannot go wrong. Like sinking a tap-in.
